Euro
2008 Championships Qualifying Stages - Austria Switzerland
England
have been handed a favourable draw in the qualifying stages for
the 2008 European Championship but what is in store for the rest
of the home nations remains to be seen.
Scotland face a major battle to
qualify from one of the hardest groups alongside France, Italy,
Ukraine, Lithuania, Georgia and the Faroe Islands.
Wales and the Republic of Ireland are drawn in the
same group in the Euro 2008 qualifying draw along side the Czech
Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Cyprus and San Marino. Whilst Northern
Ireland boss Lawrie Sanchez must also plot a difficult course to
the finals after being drawn with Sweden, Spain, Denmark, Latvia,
Iceland and Liechtenstein.
The Euro 2008 championships are to be held jointly
in Austria and Switzerland and we do expect an entertaining and
not entirely predictable tournament.
