This very competative group is difficult to predict with three 2006 World Cup teams drawn together (Portugal, Poland and Serbia & Montenegro).

Portugal, runners up in Euro2004 after a shock defeat by Greece and World Cup Semi Finalists, must be favourites to win the group. Second place is harder to call and is likely to be a battle between Poland and Serbia but Belgium cannot be ignored.
